The Lennox 46K08 is an automatic limit switch device in safety operation of furnaces and air conditioners in HVAC systems. It can act as a Fan, by checking the system temperature and halting operation if temperature goes beyond a given range is usually between 140F and 160F. This auto shut off in avoiding compressor and heat exchanger and other hardware from getting overheated.
