Its 304 and 316 stainless steel mesh media captures contaminants and will not shed material back into your fluid. A quick ultrasonic bath or back flush returns it to service, with no cartridge to reorder. With an absolute 30 micron rating, virtually every particle 30 micron and larger is removed, for filtration you can count on.
